PUBLIC PROTECTOR

No response to the letter two months on, so on 26 June 2025 a complaint about the undue delay to the Public Protector ('PP'); PoD and acknowledgement. On 28 July 2025, the PP refers the case directly to the Chief Justice for her resolution of the the delay complained of. PP's referral letter to CJ, covering email, and JSC secretary's read receipt. Brink's email exchange with the PP investigator about this. On 16 September 2025, the PP rebukes the JSC for its failure to acknowledge the referral and for its continuing inaction. Brink's first and second follow-up enquiries in October 2025. On 15 October the PP tells Brink that the matter is being escalated to senior management. Brink advises the JSC of this the next day. On 22 October, Brink requests an internal review of the PP's decision to refer his complaint; PoD and acknowledgment with prescribed form to use. On 27 October, resubmitted under the prescribed form; PoD and acknowledgement.
